Judy grew up with a love of animals after spending the first few years of her life on a farm and later in life spending family holidays at game reserves with parents, brothers and sister who were passionate about wildlife and birds.
Even though attending boarding school for most of her school life, Judy managed to sneak a pet mouse into the dormitory for about a week before she was found out and had to find him a new home, and at another time hid a pet snake in a shoebox in the bedside table for a couple of days before being found out and having to release it.  It was not an uncommon sight to see a baby bird or two perched on her desk at school which she was trying to raise and eventually release.
At home she had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, budgies, snakes, shrews or anything else that moved, at different times of her school life, which her long-suffering mother had to look after while she was at school.

Judy worked as a veterinary nurse at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA for a year before launching into her career as an entomologist.  But her passion to work with animals with fewer than six legs persisted, and when she heard of TTouch, she new that this was what she was looking for.

She had to wait a year and a half before being able to enrol for the Practitioner Training course in Johannesburg for her first session, and she qualified fully as a TTouch Practitioner in September 2009.  She thinks it is fundamental to understand animal behaviour when working with animals, and thus completed the CO4 Intro to Canine Behaviour course (COAPE) run by ThinkingPets COAPE SA, with distinction in 2010, and is now in her 2nd year of the prestigous COAPE Diploma with the aim to become a qualified Animal Behaviourist.  She also qualified, also through ThinkingPets, as a Puppy School Instructor for puppies from ages 8 weeks to 4 months, as well as for puppies from 4 months to 18 months.

She has never looked back and is in awe at the wonders of what TTouch can do to help animals to become focussed, balanced, happy individuals in a human world.

Judy lives in Muizenberg, in the southern suburbs of Cape Town with her husband, two very energetic rescue dogs and two pet mice.
